About David
A person-centred approach to mental health and wellbeing.
Whether you’re navigating a difficult season of life or seeking support for long-term challenges, I believe the right environment is essential for growth. My practice is personalised, authentic, and collaborative to keep our work together grounded and approachable.
Clinical Experience & Focus
I provide a warm and respectful space for children, adolescents, and adults to feel heard and empowered. My approach is trauma-informed and focuses on giving you practical tools to handle life’s challenges. I use a range of evidence-based methods depending on what you need, including:
ACT & Process-Based Therapy: To help you handle difficult thoughts and feelings so they have less power over you.
DBT & CBT Skills: To build practical ways to manage intense emotions and understand pathways to meaningful change.
For clients seeking deeper clarity into specific patterns or learning needs, I also provide psychological assessments. While not required for therapy, these evaluations can be a helpful way to gain a comprehensive understanding of your unique strengths, helping us further personalise your support plan.
How We Work Together
My approach is trauma-informed and collaborative. We’ll work together to design a treatment plan that aligns with your specific goals, ensuring you feel heard and respected at every step.
I regularly coordinate with GPs and allied health providers to ensure your support is consistent and moves at a pace that feels right for you.
Our Services
-
Our adult psychological services offer a structured, evidence-based approach to managing a broad range of mental health concerns. Utilising Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), we provide professional support for individuals navigating:
Anxiety and Stress: Addressing persistent worry, panic, and the pressures of daily life through practical coping strategies.
Mood and Emotional Regulation: Supporting those experiencing depression, burnout, or significant emotional shifts.
Personality Disorders: Providing long-term, focused interventions to help manage complex interpersonal patterns and emotional instability.
Life Transitions: Navigating significant changes in career, relationships, or personal identity.
Our practice focuses on building psychological flexibility—the ability to stay present and take action aligned with your values, even when facing difficult thoughts or feelings. We work collaboratively to identify unhelpful patterns and develop a tailored toolkit of clinical strategies to support your mental health goals.
-
Our psychological services provide a safe, non-judgmental space where adolescents can navigate the complexities of growing up—from managing school stress and social dynamics to exploring identity and mental health.
David uses evidence-based approaches tailored specifically for young people, focusing on building resilience, emotional regulation, and practical coping skills. Whether your teen is struggling with anxiety, mood changes, or simply needs someone to talk to, we’re here to help them find their voice and build a stronger foundation for the future.
-
We provide structured, evidence-based psychological support for children experiencing emotional and behavioural challenges. Our approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), focusing on providing young people and their families with practical strategies to manage difficulties such as anxiety, school stress, and social concerns

While I work with clients at all stages of life, I have a particular clinical interest in supporting the defence and emergency services community, including current and ex-serving personnel and their families. I understand the unique challenges of service life and offer support for:
Emotional & Behavioural Wellbeing: Supporting those navigating anxiety, anger, and mood-related concerns.
Life Transitions: Assisting with adjustment issues, including the transition between service and civilian life.
Trauma-Informed Care: Supporting individuals through the complexities of trauma, including those related to service and life transitions.

Your first session is primarily an intake meeting focused on information gathering and building rapport. Expect to discuss your reasons for seeking therapy, your personal history, and your specific goals for the process, alongside some initial administrative paperwork and confidentiality talk. It’s also an opportunity for you to interview me to ensure my style feels like a good fit; you don’t need to dive into deep trauma immediately, and it’s completely normal to feel a mix of relief and nervous exhaustion afterward.
-
