What to Expect
Your first appointment is an opportunity for us to get to know one another.
We'll talk about what's brought you here, your current circumstances, your personal history and what you're hoping to achieve. I'll also explain how the process works, answer any questions you may have and discuss confidentiality before we begin working together.
There's no expectation to share everything in your first session. It's simply an opportunity for us to get to know one another, determine whether we're the right fit and begin developing an understanding of how I can best support you.
Fees & Medicare
Appointments are 50 minutes in duration.
The standard consultation fee is $235 per session.
Appointments scheduled outside of standard business hours are $265 per session.
With a valid Mental Health Treatment Plan, you may be eligible for a Medicare rebate of $101.55 per session.
David works collaboratively with your GP throughout your care, providing the required treatment updates to support your Mental Health Treatment Plan and ongoing treatment where appropriate.
The AAPI recommendations for FY2026-2027 has the standard hourly consultation fee at $340.
DVA Funding
Eligible Gold and White Card holders may be able to access psychological services with no out of pocket costs.
If you're unsure whether you're eligible, speak with your GP about obtaining a D0904 referral. Referrals are generally valid for 12 months or 12 sessions, whichever comes first, with additional treatment cycles available where clinically appropriate.

Cancellations
If you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment, please let us know as soon as possible.
We ask for at least 48 hours notice (excluding weekends and public holidays). Appointments cancelled with less notice will incur a cancellation fee.
Where possible, we'll always try to fill your appointment. If we're able to do so, any cancellation fee will be credited to your account or refunded.
