DVA Referrals
Psychological care for veterans and current/former ADF members (Gold & White Card holders).
Support for Military & First Responders Community
While I work with clients at all stages of life, I have a particular clinical interest in supporting the defence and emergency services community, including current and ex-serving personnel and their families. I understand the unique challenges of service life and offer support for:
Emotional & Behavioural Wellbeing: Supporting those navigating anxiety, anger, and mood-related concerns.
Life Transitions: Assisting with adjustment issues, including the transition between service and civilian life.
Trauma-Informed Care: Supporting individuals through the complexities of trauma, including those related to service and life transitions.
My approach is trauma-informed and collaborative, drawing on ACT, CBT, and DBT skills to help you build practical tools for what you're facing, at a pace that feels right for you.
Understanding DVA Referrals
If you're a Gold or White Card holder, you may be eligible to access psychological support with no out-of-pocket cost. Here's how it works:
Speak with your GP about a D0904 referral for psychological services.
Your referral is valid for 12 months or 12 sessions, whichever comes first — with further sessions available in some circumstances.
Reach out to us to arrange your first appointment, and we'll take care of the rest.
For more detail on this funding option, visit Mental Health For Veterans, or print off this DVA flyer to bring to your GP appointment.
How we work together
I regularly coordinate with GPs and allied health providers to make sure your care is consistent and moves at a pace that feels right for you. Whether you're navigating the transition to civilian life, working through your experiences, or managing day-to-day stress and mood, I provide a safe, respectful, and confidential space where you feel heard and understood.
